Safeguarding is at the heart of all the work health and social care professionals deliver to children and families. A better understanding of the particular needs and issue of migrant families will enrich the daily practice of professionals working with these client groups.
This module has been mapped against Level Two standards in Safeguarding Children from Abroad.
It is not meant to replace your local training and we advise that you still follow courses made available to you.
However, this training module will give you useful awareness, tools and signposting to strengthen your working practices with migrants. The aim of this training is to increase understanding and confidence of health professionals to identify safeguarding issues within families from migrant communities.
